Joomla has webservices... but... Having the limitation only to grand a token for Super Users blocks any thinking of being able to use Joomla as headless CMS.
As the most basic functionality of Registered users authentication from a mobile app cannot be done due to this limitation.
Someone could expect Joomla 4/5 to have a webservice ssystem so that:
a) Any user can authenticate from a js frontend passing the credentials via https
b) Joomla authentications in backend, issues token and returns to the js app
c) JS app uses that token on all user-specific requests from no-on.
I wonder if there are plans to do that in a joomla version in near future?
