Thank you AMurray and Webdongle,
I finally got it working especially now knowing about the login levels. Yes, I was testing as a administrator from the front end. Once I logged from the front as an editor, it worked as it should.
However, if the article is displayed using a menu option set a single article, you get the dreaded "Can't find this article" message. It would be nice if it displayed a more appropriate message that the article not ready to be published yet or that it has expired.
Also I thought I was able to set a menu option to a publishing date the other day and it worked - it was not in the menu bar. Today, I can't seem to recall how I did that. Today a menu option doesn't seem to have a "publishing" option tab. I thought I saw a tutorial on how to publish menu options. Am I missing something or are menu options truly publishable?
